Senior FPGA Engineer
4 Days Old
Overview
Still in "stealth mode", this startup is commercialising technology invented by its founder which has garnered interest from top VC funds across the UK and Europe. With a clear vision for the company’s future and the experience to know the type of top talent needed to fulfil the mission, they are seeking experts in FPGA product development to join the team.
Responsibilities
With the overriding goal of designing a hardware product which can be manufactured at scale, you will be tasked with creating FPGA designs to accelerate the machine learning algorithms that power the company’s core technologies. Your designs will need to integrate tightly with other hardware and sensors, and you will need to work closely with other members of the team to help develop and adapt the software and machine learning systems to achieve the product goals.
Qualifications
- Strong commercial experience developing FPGAs for hardware acceleration of algorithms. Ideally understanding of accelerating machine learning based algorithms.
- Good understanding of the end-to-end development cycle to bring an FPGA-based system to production, including test benches, simulations tools, and hardware-in-loop debugging.
- Good communication skills for working in a small and highly multidisciplinary team.
Location, terms and team
As a startup you will be working closely with a small number of other engineers. While some home working is possible, you will spend most of your time at offices in London. The work will be challenging and the deadlines tight, but you will be working on truly cutting-edge technology and play a critical role in the growth and success of the company. Alongside a generous salary, relocation support and equity options are on offer.
