Senior Frontend (React) Engineer is required for a fast-growing Renewables scale-up that is revolutionising the way energy is used and managed across the UK. The company is changing the shopping system behind some of the key industries within GreenTech, including electrical vehicle charges and batteries, turning an archaic and labour-intensive industry into an E-commerce, digital experience for EV charging points, solar panels, wind turbines and other renewable energy equipment.

Their expertise in this commercial sector spans across multiple teams including product and supply chain teams. This means their platform is at the crossroads of innovation and sustainability and supports the best distribution service in the nation.

As a Senior Frontend (React) Engineer you will work on developing their front-end platform. This includes building and optimising APIs, ensuring the system can handle large volumes of data and maintaining high performance and security. This includes taking part in stakeholder conversations and promoting best practices like TDD, BDD and CI/CD.

This Senior Frontend (React) Engineer role is paying up to £120,000.

This is a hybrid role with two days a week in the office where you will join up with the engineering & product teams in London.

  • Expertise in coding with a background in React.js is hugely important
  • Collaborate with the wider engineering team to ensure the platform is reliable, performant, and secure
  • Work alongside the Lead Frontend Engineer to make a difference in the wider business and engineering processes
  • Foster a culture that promotes best engineering practices like TDD and BDD and mentor junior frontend developers
  • Build and optimise APIs with REST and GraphQL to handle large-scale data operations and ensure seamless integration across multiple systems
