What You’ll Do Lead high-impact engineering work across the stack, with a focus on backend logic, APIs, and data modelling Own and scale complex Shopify integrations (beyond themes, into business logic, API orchestration, data workflows) Help design backend systems that power everything from payments to returns to personalisation Build performant, reliable systems using TypeScript and AWS Work cross-functionally with product, design, and ops to deliver features quickly and iteratively Embrace automation and AI tooling to enhance developer productivity and deployment pipelines

Tech Stack Languages: TypeScript (core), Python/Ruby (data flow) Frontend: React (preferred), Angular, Vue, Node.js also welcome Infrastructure: AWS Databases: RDBMS (must-have), Neo4j (nice-to-have) Integrations: Shopify (core), payment gateways, fraud detection tools

You’ll Thrive in This Role If You... Have strong backend fundamentals , including schema design, relational data modelling, and query optimisation Understand how to design architecture and APIs behind Shopify-powered storefronts — not just tweak themes or templates Are comfortable with Shopify’s full stack : from Liquid and templates to deeper integrations, APIs, and business logic Can own API-first development and integrations with 3rd-party fintech tools Have experience in fast-paced, product-led environments (startups/scale-ups especially) Are passionate about fashion, retail tech, or next-gen shopping experiences

Bonus Points For: Experience monetising or integrating with payment gateways , fraud tools, or eCommerce APIs Hands-on work with Neo4j , MongoDB, or Mongoose Familiarity with growth loops , A/B testing, or product analytics Past experience with CATIA or CAD tooling integrations (not required)
