Senior Full Stack Engineer

Glasgow - 5 days on-site

Inside IR35 | Competitive Day Rate

Contract | Full-Time

We're looking for a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join a high-performing development team based on-site in Glasgow (5 days per week). You'll play a key role in designing and delivering secure, scalable and efficient software solutions across both front-end and back-end systems using Java (Spring Boot, Spring Batch) and Angular or ReactJS.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be expected to contribute across the full SDLC, while also bringing your problem-solving mindset and architectural thinking to the table.

What You'll Be Doing

• Designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality back-end and front-end solutions
• Working with Java Spring Boot, Spring Batch, and Angular/ReactJS
• Creating clean, secure production-ready code and reusable libraries
• Contributing to architectural decisions and ensuring design consistency
• Performing complex data analysis and visualisation to drive application improvements
• Supporting APIs (particularly Open API) and integrating diverse systems
• Driving coding standards, best practices, and continuous improvement
• Participating in internal engineering communities and fostering a positive team culture
  
  

• Strong experience in Java, including Multithreading and Concurrency
• Solid front-end experience using Angular or ReactJS
• Expertise with RDBMS (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and writing optimized SQL queries
• Hands-on experience with JUnit, CI/CD tools, and SDLC best practices
• Familiarity with Unix/Windows, scripting, and infrastructure basics
• Strong understanding of ORM frameworks (Hibernate, JPA)
• Working knowledge of public cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Great communication skills and a passion for solving complex problems
