This is a Hybrid role, the Software Engineering Team works from our London Office (Moorgate) 2 days per week.

The Team

We're looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our Internal and Core Systems (ICS) team to help us build the best credit card and payment products for small businesses. The Internal and Core Systems (ICS) engineering group is responsible for customer account management tools, core financial operations related to the credit product, and AI applications. They manage systems for individual account servicing, processing, and automated call analysis. The team also oversees bulk processing infrastructure, internal operations workflows, and integrations with external platforms. Within this group, there are several teams. This role sits within our Core Tech Systems (CTS) team who handle all all the critical, complex calculations for our core credit product: working out a customer\'s balance in real-time, creating payment plans for those who are struggling, and managing the collections process.

Responsibilities

• You\'ll build robust and scalable solutions using .Net technology
• From the first line of code to production, monitoring, and continuous improvement - you\'ll own the SDLC
• Teamwork makes the dream work - you\'ll partner with Product Managers, QA\'s, Site Reliability/Platform Engineers and fellow Software Engineers
• You\'ll build bulletproof unit and integration tests to keep our software sharp and our users happy
• Bugs happen. When they do, you\'ll be ready to troubleshoot and tweak as needed
• You\'ll bridge the gap between tech speak and business goals, ensuring everyone\'s on the same page and moving forward together

What We\'re Looking For

• 3+ years hands-on experience in C#, .Net Core, SQL Server
• Good testing practices, in both Unit and Integration testing
• Good understanding of database technologies
• Experience in using Agile development practices
• A passion for learning new skills and technologies
• A proactive, supportive, and collaborative team player

Interview Process

• First stage: 30-minute intro, CV review, and values with Talent Partner
• Second stage: 45-minute "Tech Chat" with Team Manager
• Final stage: 90-minute Code Pairing + 30-minute Values Interview
