At Ayesa, we design sustainable infrastructure that transforms communities — and it all starts beneath the surface. We’re looking for a driven and technically strong Senior Geo-Environmental Engineer to join our expanding Geotechnical & Brownfield Land team in the UK.

In this role, you’ll manage and deliver ground investigation projects, lead contaminated land risk assessments, and contribute to the regeneration of complex brownfield sites — all while supporting junior engineers and maintaining high environmental and safety standards.

What You’ll Be Doing

Project & Technical Leadership

• Manage and deliver brownfield land assessments and ground investigations

• Plan and supervise fieldwork and monitoring campaigns

• Design and validate Phase 1, 2 & 3 reports, risk assessments, and remediation strategies

• Prepare Human Health and Controlled Waters GQRAs and Gas Risk Assessments

• Mentor and support junior team members

• Review and approve technical reports and deliverables

• Work closely with clients, regulators, and cross-disciplinary teams

• Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Commercial & Quality Management

• Lead project financial management and reporting

• Support pricing, tendering, and work-winning activities

• Ensure adherence to health & safety, quality, and environmental standards

• Human Health and Controlled Waters GQRAs and Gas Risk Assessments.

• Mentoring and training junior staff.

• Writing, checking and reviewing reports.

• Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues and outside agencies.

What You Bring

BSc or MSc in Geology, Earth Sciences, or Environmental Science

3–6 years of experience in brownfield or geo-environmental engineering

Solid understanding of UK/EU environmental and geotechnical regulations

Strong background in contaminated land risk assessments and remediation

Site investigation planning, supervision, and data interpretation skills

Clear, concise technical report writing

Confident communicator with excellent time and project management skills

Knowledge of geotechnical engineering and integration into infrastructure design

Understanding of GIS, environmental modelling tools, or remediation software

Commitment to CPD and working toward Chartership

Manage junior members to achieve project objectives on time and within budget.

Is committed to Continued Professional Development and remains up-to-date with current developments in the industry.
