Senior Geotechnical Mining Engineer | London | £60,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a thriving and highly regarded consultancy working on a wide range of international projects from dams, tailings, gold mines and large infrastructure.

This role offers significant scope for overseas travel, exposure to diverse projects, and long-term career progression. You will be involved in both technical delivery and project management, working closely with internal teams and international clients.

You will be working on a variety of projects performing geotechnical risk assessments, slope stability analysis, design of embankments, earthworks, and foundations. As the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will also be expected to help develop the team, by mentoring Junior Engineers.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical risk assessments for a range of projects including dams, tailings, gold mines and large infrastructure.
• Conduct slope stability analysis and design of embankments, earthworks, and foundations.
• Deliver technical solutions and contribute to project management and client communication.
• Mentor and develop Junior Engineers to support team growth.
• Collaborate with internal teams and international clients; travel to project sites as required.

Qualifications

• Hold a degree in Civil Engineering, Geology, or Mining Geology.
• Live within a commutable distance from the London office.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in technical report writing.
