    Essential:

  • UK Experience within a public, private or third sector UK based client.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a range of Highways projects from conception to completion.
  • Involvement in the full project lifecycle, including budget/finance control and progress reporting.
  • In-depth knowledge of highway design principles, standards and practices including alignment, grading, drainage, and pavement design.
  • Skilled user of design software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with clients, Elected Members, stakeholders and team members/colleagues. 
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports, documentation and presentations.
  • Understanding and appreciation of CDM regulations.
  • HNC, HND, BEng, BSc, MEng, MSc or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
  • A full UK driving licence is essential.
  • Desirable:

  • Work towards professional qualification (IEng / CEng) with the ICE / IHE / CIHT or similar.
