Your new company Hays are partnered with the infrastructure design arm of a Tier 1 contractor business, globally recognised for their construction projects across the Highways, Rail and Water sectors. They have 174 offices globally, and require a Highway Design Engineer in either their busy Watford, or Bridgend (South Wales) design offices.
Your new role As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will be responsible for the hands-on delivery of designs to the appropriate technical standard, client lialson and fee management;
Undertake designs, drawings, specifications and supporting technical reports and other technical output to achieve project outcomes. Where and when required, undertake site visits, surveys, and investigations. Ensure design work is undertaken in compliance with relevant Health & Safety and Environmental legislation. Maintain and increase knowledge of Standards & Codes of Practice. Participate in CPD activities to ensure skills remain relevant. Plan and manage delivery of projects to agreed time and cost Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with internal quality standards and processes. Work collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives and to build excellent customer relationships
