Job Description London Borough of Newham – Highways, Sustainable Transport – Senior Highway Engineer (Urban Design). The Urban Design team is part of the Planned Maintenance and Urban Design Team within the Highways and Sustainable Transport service. The team is responsible for undertaking design, management and delivery of urban realm and traffic improvement schemes within the public realm. As a Senior Highway Engineer, you will be responsible for working within a team of engineers that will deliver highway design and contract management and will act as designer and principal designer on various schemes. Some experience of 3D level design using 3D Civils would be preferential. About You To apply, you should have the knowledge, experience and skills to work in a highly pressurized environment, both independently and in a team, to deliver projects on budget and to tight deadlines. Candidates should have demonstrable experience and skills in highways design, site supervision, project management of highway, engineering and traffic management projects, stakeholder management, and contract management. It is expected that the post holder will be approaching professional member status with an appropriate institution. Please note standalone CVs will not be considered.
