This role supports 2 of the GEDU Entities/Brands  English Path and MetaGedu. Metagedu is a UK apprenticeship business and English Path are English Language Training specialists with schools in 9 countries (Europe, Australia, Middle East & Canada) and with considerable growth ambitions.

Leading the HR team of 3 to support the businesses in the full end to end HR lifecycle.  It will combine providing support in a Business Partner capacity to the senior managers of the 2 brands with a hands-on generalist role delivering all aspects of HR operations. You will report to the GEDU Group Head of HR and will be a key part of the HR team in developing a global HR service across the GEDU Group.

This role will also work alongside the main UK entity (GBS UK) in UK wide matters.

ROLE and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business Partner: Act as the HR Business Partner for departments/teams within the relevant legal entities to support and guide. 
  • \n
  • Employee Relations: Provide expert advice and support on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance issues.
  • \n
  • Talent Acquisition: Manage the effective delivery of the Talent Acquisition for both brands & across all territories. Ensure full compliance with all Safeguarding regulations. 
  • \n
  • HR Policy & Compliance: Ensure HR policies and procedures are up to date, legally compliant, and effectively communicated across the business, liaising with the local country HR Subject Matter Expert as necessary to ensure consistency across all brands in country. 
  • \n
  • Performance Management: Support the continuous improvement of performance management processes, including end of year performance reviews, performance improvement plans and development plans. 
  • \n
  • HR Data & Reporting: Manage the HR Operations team to ensure accurate HR records and documentation.
  • \n
  • Compensation: Support annual salary reviews and any ad-hoc benchmarking exercises requested.
  • \n
  • Change Management: Lead the HR team in organisational change initiatives, including restructures, TUPE, and cultural development projects.
  • \n
  • Wellbeing & Engagement: Champion employee wellbeing and engagement initiatives, fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

\n
    \n
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role.
  • \n
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices. Experience in managing an international HR service would be advantageous (ideally in one or more of the territories English Path operate in). 
  • \n
  • Comfortable working in an unstructured environment with a start-up mentality
  • \n
  • Experience working in a multi country, multi brand environment would be beneficial. 
  • \n
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • \n
  • Confident in managing complex employee relations cases.
  • \n
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively.
  • \n
  • CIPD qualified (Level 5 or above) or equivalent experience.
  • \n
