The Role

We are looking for a Senior Identity and Access Management (IDAM) Engineer (Contractor) to play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering secure identity services across complex enterprise environments.

This is a hands-on senior engineering role where you will design, implement, and maintain modern identity solutions that underpin Zero Plus’s Zero Trust strategy. You will be responsible for authentication, authorisation, and access provisioning across hybrid and cloud estates, while collaborating with architecture, security, and operations teams to deliver scalable and compliant solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of IDAM solutions across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Ensure secure authentication and authorisation frameworks are in place, aligned with Zero Trust principles.
• Manage provisioning, role-based access, and lifecycle management across diverse platforms.
• Integrate IDAM services with cloud SaaS, endpoint, and security tooling.
• Support project delivery including migrations and onboarding of new systems.
• Provide 3rd line escalation support for complex IDAM incidents and issues.
• Produce technical documentation, standards, and runbooks to support BAU operations.

What We’re Looking For

We would love to hear from you if you have:

• Extensive experience with IDAM technologies such as Azure AD / Entra ID, ADFS, MFA, SSO, and certificate-based authentication.
• Proven experience implementing and managing identity lifecycle management solutions.
• Strong knowledge of RBAC, privileged access management, and conditional access.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust models and government security frameworks (NCSC, ISO 27001).
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, API integrations).
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise or government identity environments.
• Ability to engage confidently with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Current SC clearance.

Desirable skills: Okta, SailPoint, or similar enterprise IDAM tools; knowledge of DevSecOps integration; certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, or CISM.
