This a multi-disciplinary and international consultancy who is looking to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for their Leeds office. You can embrace your curiosity in a culture that celebrates new ideas and diverse perspectives. \n\nWhat's on offer:\n\nHybrid working\n\t\nBonus Scheme\n\t\nCompany car allowance\n\t\nPrivate medical insurance\n\t\nLife assurance\n\t\n& more\n\nThe role:\n\nProviding day to day support in the delivery of concept studies / strategies with hands on design, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions and construction drawing issue.\n\t\nContributing to all types of Development projects across all sectors and clients.\n\t\nBeing active on several varied multi-disciplinary project/client accounts at any given time.\n\t\nYou will be supported by a team of experienced and developing technical staff of various grades, to whom you will be expected to provide guidance and support as appropriate.\n\t\nInvolvement in high profile client engagement, stakeholder management, design team liaison (both internal and with other external multidisciplinary professionals) and project management\n\t\nBeing responsible, or actively engaged depending on experience, for ensuring your projects are delivered to budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.\n\nWhat you need to succeed:\n\nKnowledge of, and experience in highway/roads design, drainage strategy and design, flood risk assessment and management, utility design and planning as well as a working knowledge of the Development Industry in the UK.\n\t\nThe ability to produce infrastructure masterplans, site appraisals, technical reports, design calculations and construction drawings\n\t\nKnowledge of the relevant design codes such as, Water UK Sewerage Sector Guidance, Design Manual for Roads & Bridges, Designing Streets, Local Authority Design Guidance and are well versed in the preparation of drawings for contract documentation and technical approvals\n\t\nThe ability to use or direct and check the use of relevant software including InfoDrainage, Civils 3D and/or PDS\n\t\nExperience of liaison with clients, co-professionals and design teams, and competence in liaising with highway, water, statutory and local authorities to negotiate the necessary outline and detailed technical approvals and statutory agreements typically relating to development projects\n\t\nKnowledge of the relevant legal processes, planning, design, design software, technical consents process, adoption and contract procedures for the provision of sewers, SuDS, highways and utilities to new developments and regeneration projects and how if, applied effectively, these skills combine to add value to a client’s development proposal\n\t\nA robust knowledge of the financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering both large and small projects
