We're looking for a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join a large enterprise IT team in Leicester. This is a hands-on, high-impact role where you'll take ownership of complex network and infrastructure projects while mentoring and guiding other engineers.

You'll work in a 7, user, multi-site environment with hundreds of servers and over a thousand networking devices, giving you exposure to enterprise-scale infrastructure and the opportunity to influence infrastructure strategy and modernisation projects.

What You'll Do

  • Lead Cisco LAN/WAN/WLAN design, optimisation, and security initiatives
  • Implement and manage cloud platforms (Azure / AWS)
  • Oversee VMware / Hyper-V clusters, upgrades, and maintenance
  • Drive automation using PowerShell, Ansible, or Terraform
  • Shape disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Mentor other Infrastructure Engineers and share best practice

    • What We're Looking For

  • Strong experience in enterprise networking (LAN/WAN/WLAN)
  • CCNA or CCNP certified (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven track record with Cisco equipment, cloud platforms, and virtualisation
  • Knowledge of automation tools and enterprise DR solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving and organisational skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to thrive under pressure
