Overview

Senior Infrastructure Engineer role at Lloyds Banking Group. Role location options: Edinburgh, Manchester, or Leeds. Hybrid working pattern around 40% in the office (about two days per week).

What you’ll do

  • Design, build, and manage secure infrastructure across Azure and GCP.
  • Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) to implement and maintain security controls.
  • Automate security processes with scripting and APIs.
  • Use native tools and analytics to improve cloud and data security posture.
  • Collaborate across teams to deliver secure, scalable, and compliant solutions.
  • Create and tune DLP/Cyber policies for endpoints, email, cloud apps, and network traffic.
  • Work with other data professionals and AI engineers to understand business needs and develop effective AI solutions.

What we’re looking for

  • Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) experience.
  • Terraform (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Git (version control).
  • Security & Compliance
    • Cloud posture management (Azure Defender for Cloud, GCP SCCE).
    • Data Loss Prevention / Data Security Posture Management (DSPM).
  • Scripting & Automation
    • Python (preferred scripting language).
    • Configuration as Code principles.
    • API integration (e.g., Microsoft Graph API).
  • Nice to have (depending on the team)
  • Lab 1: Cloud Enterprise and Computer Security — Data & Analytics (KQL/SQL or BigQuery), Power Platform and PowerShell.
  • Lab 2: Security Operations — SIEM management, advanced logging, DLP technical policy development, ability to build and train machine learning models.
  • Power Platform and PowerShell.

Compensation

Base pay range: £70,929–£78,810 per year. Location options: Edinburgh, Manchester, or Leeds. Hours: full-time, 35 hours per week. Hybrid pattern as described above. Salary range may be adjusted based on skills and experience.
