The client is seeking an enthusiastic, experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer, capable of leading an expanding team of specialist colleagues in the civil infrastructure design of highways and drainage schemes for commercial, industrial, and residential development projects near the area of York, and further afield. Responsibilities
Designing structures across a range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, and residential Leading high-profile projects, from initial inception through to successful delivery Building, maintaining, and managing stakeholder relations across the public and private sectors Representing the company at design team meetings and site visits
Required skills and experience
Hold an initial or higher Degree (or equivalent, relevant qualification) in Civil Engineering Extensive relevant experience within a UK-based consultancy setting Demonstrable experience of road and drainage design, with respect to the necessary Section Agreements (S38, S278, S104, etc.) Excellent working knowledge of the relevant software packages, including Microdrainage, Causeway PDS, Civils 3D, and AutoCAD Experience in preparing drainage appraisals, incorporating Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS) in compliance with the relevant Local and Water Authority requirements Good knowledge of the current, relevant technical standards, procedures, and by-laws Prior experience of forging and maintaining excellent working relationships with clients and stakeholders across the public and private sectors Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills Hold a full, valid UK driving licence
Desirable skills and experience
Good working knowledge of the Revit software package Possess Chartered Engineer status, or proactively working to attain this
