Overview
A Senior Installation & Project Engineer is required to work on an initial 12 month contract based in London with a hybrid setup allowing homeworking at least 2/3 days per week.
As the Senior Installation & Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of subsea structures, mooring systems, riser systems, flexible flowlines and/or umbilicals. You will prepare the scope and then support the offshore crew during the operation. You will ensure the interface with the Client, suppliers, offshore crew and the design team.
Responsibilities
supervise a team of engineers and a package
oversee all external interfaces (clients, suppliers) and internal interfaces (other disciplines, installation, manufacturing, purchasing)
prepare documents and preliminary studies related to tenders, FEEDs and projects developed by the Group
be autonomous and supervise the engineering activities related to the preparation and offshore installation of the products
plan, prepare and confirm the specific procedures (validation test on site, transportation and installation) and associated calculation notes (design lifting slings), defining priorities
participate in vessel mobilization as well as installation phases on vessel to validate technical solutions while respecting Group HSEQ rules
ensure activities are conducted in compliance with Project standards in terms of Quality, Cost & Time
act as technical owner to select contractors and supervise subcontracted studies
validate concepts and plan changes accounting for HSEQ criteria
validate developments and propose improvements, taking into account the Group's HSEQ standards
actively participate in the development and progression of the team
consolidate the expertise of the installation team and offer innovative solutions to reduce costs
Qualifications and Experience
Master of Engineering degree or equivalent with relevant work experience in the energy sector
Subsea Structures Installation and/or Flexible Flowlines/Umbilicals experience required; Mooring Installation and other relevant experience desirable
offshore operations experience
autonomy, coordination and communication skills essential
experience leading teams
fluent in English
