As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank, you will play a crucial role in building the bank of the future. You will work in a collaborative, diverse, and geographically distributed team focused on Cloud Platform Engineering and delivering an outstanding banking experience to our customers.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve our AWS cloud infrastructure to ensure the bank’s 24/7 operation with a focus on stability, performance, security and compliance
  • Maintain, design and improve technologies and processes within the infrastructure space, such as EKS/Istio deployment and management and paving of AWS accounts
  • Maintain and build a cloud platform for application developers and provide support to improve their SDLC and developer experience
  • Manage and interact with vendors and other areas of the business to plan improvements and coordinate project efforts
  • Participate in on-call rota

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and proficient advanced experience
  • Experience developing and maintaining applications in the public cloud (we use AWS)
  • Experience managing public cloud infrastructure using infra-as-code technologies (we use Terraform)
  • Good knowledge of Kubernetes clusters\' operations (we use EKS)
  • Good knowledge of programming using a modern language (Java/Python/Go)
  • Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines that covers the full SDLC
  • Excellent understanding of DevOps principles and SDLC best practices
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • Familiar with software engineering security best practices in a cloud environment
  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies such as Kafka
  • Knowledge of modern database technologies such as PostgreSQL and CockroachDB
  • Experience developing unit, integration and end-to-end software tests
