Our client, a leading name in precision engineering based in Wolverhampton, is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in end-to-end manufacturing support, from initial design and 3D modelling through to process planning, offline programming, and shopfloor implementation. Key Responsibilities
Provide full lifecycle manufacturing support - from design to delivery Create efficient, cost-effective manufacturing solutions that meet production deadlines and budgets CNC offline programming for milling and turning (3-, 4-, and 5-axis machines) Generate comprehensive setup packs, stage drawings, and SOPs Support new product introduction (NPI) and assist with machine prove-outs Troubleshoot production issues and implement long-term corrective actions Collaborate with Quality on PFMEAs and non-conformance resolution Design and specify tooling and fixtures to enhance process capabilities Drive continuous improvement and support strategic business projects Engage with customers and suppliers on technical solutions
About You
Proven experience in a similar manufacturing engineering role Skilled in CAD/CAM and CNC programming (multi-axis) Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling Confident problem solver with a continuous improvement mindset Able to communicate effectively at all levels, including customers and suppliers Knowledge of PFMEA and quality standards within precision engineering
