Morgan Hunt is supporting a highly regarded consultancy in its search for an accomplished Mechanical and Electrical Project Engineer to join the team.
The successful candidate will possess a recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering and will demonstrate proven experience in managing and delivering Mechanical and Electrical installations across a variety of construction projects. The role requires an individual with established expertise and leadership skills, capable of contributing to the successful delivery of complex building services projects.
This is a senior position requiring not only technical excellence but also strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Undertake compliance and commissioning reviews of MEP construction packages, preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to design teams.
- Provide technical leadership and site support across multiple live projects.
- Prepare clear and accurate mechanical and electrical specifications in alignment with client briefs.
- Contribute to overall project delivery, taking the lead on implementation and completion where required.
- Represent the organisation at client, contractor, and consultant meetings, ensuring the highest professional standards are upheld.
- Chair meetings where directed, producing accurate minutes and issuing them promptly.
- Manage individual deliverables within agreed project budgets, maintaining both quality and cost control.
- Produce high-quality reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
- Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Minimum of ten years’ relevant industry experience.
- Demonstrable expertise in building services Mechanical and Electrical installations.
- Proficient in IT applications including AutoCAD and experienced in working with Common Data Environment (CDE) portals.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients, contractors, and design teams.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, demonstrated through the pursuit of CPD and engagement with technical publications.
