Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to take ownership of designing and developing high-performance mechanical and electro-mechanical components and assemblies used in demanding environments.

What you’ll be doing as a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer: Designing precision mechanical and electro-mechanical systems from concept through to production Creating detailed 3D CAD models and drawings to BS8888, including application of GD&T Performing hand calculations and FEA to validate both dynamic and static systems Delivering feasibility studies, cost estimates and timing plans, and presenting designs at key project stages Integrating mechanical systems with electronics, working closely with cross-functional teams Liaising with suppliers to ensure robust, cost-effective manufacture of parts and assemblies Supporting DFMEA and continuous improvement activities across design and development processes Providing technical guidance, mentoring and leadership to oth...
