Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Derby - Travel to Nottingham
Salary: £50,000 - £58,000
A multi-disciplinary consulting and engineering firm is looking to hire an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team in Nottingham. The ideal candidate will passionate and pro-active, helping the team to achieve the most suitable solutions for clients and the environment.
Key responsibilities:
Act as Project Leader, managing design delivery and coordination Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary team on larger or complex projects Carry out engineering calculations or provide guidance to others in their completion Prepare detailed drawings and technical specifications in line with project requirements. Be actively involved throughout all project stages—from concept through to completion. Support business development efforts by fostering repeat work through excellent client care. Attend key meetings and deliver client presentations for assigned projects.What we’re looking for:
A degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (Chartered preferred or working towards) – HNC/HND candidates with suitable design experience will also be considered Minimum of 3-4 years of design experience within building services A good understanding of HV/LV systems, and HTM’s beneficial Proficiency in Relux/Dialux. Amtech, Revit and Microsoft Knowledge of BREEAM and integration of embedded generation In depth knowledge of British and European Standards, Building Regulations documents etcBenefits:
