Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: Isle of Wight - Hybrid - 3 days on-site

Role Type: Permanent

Salary: £55,000 - £63,150 per annum depending on experience

Our client, an established aerospace & defence manufacturing firm on the Isle of Wight, require an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their multi-disciplined team.

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the design intent and safety of platform and auxiliary systems and to collate the assurance evidence of this for the respective vessel while working under the definitive engineering authority of the appropriate Lead Engineer.

Some of the main duties of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will include:

Providing technical engineering support to mechanical engineering design activities for new and legacy products Developing conceptual designs for marine products, sub-systems and units Producing technical documentation in line with company guidelines Attending and contributing to design review discussions/meetings.
