Our client, a dynamic consultancy in the water sector, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. This opportunity allows you to work on exciting AMP8 and AMP9 projects, ensuring exceptional water services across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage workloads across various long-term water industry projects. Strive for positive outcomes for both projects and the community. Collaborate closely with senior engineers and other stakeholders in project delivery. Mentor and guide less experienced team members, ensuring technical governance. Produce technical outputs, including specifications, schedules, and reports. Interpret and supervise the production of technical drawings and plans. Conduct asset condition surveys and prepare detailed reports and recommendations. Contribute to process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). Ensure compliance with CDM regulations and produce design risk assessments. Act as project manager or design team leader as needed.

Job Requirements:

Extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly within the water industry. Proficient in pump selection and the design of pumping systems. Skilled in producing specifications, reports, and other technical documentation. Ability to manage projects to time, cost, and quality criteria.
