About the Role

We are looking for a

Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

to join an established equipment engineering business in Leicester. This is a hands-on design role within a multi-disciplinary R&D team, where you will take ownership of mechanical design projects from concept through to production.

You will be responsible for: Designing and validating mechanical subassemblies.

Defining specifications from overall system requirements.

Leading design reviews and supporting manufacturing, assembly, and service.

Producing documentation for production and service introduction.

Key Skills & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).

5+ years experience in mechanical design / product development.

Sound understanding, ideally, of kinematics

Knowledge of drives, controls, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Proficiency in CAD

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and practical engineering skills.
