ROLE- Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

LOCATION- Gloucestershire

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £45,000-£65,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures products and systems within the Renewable Energy sector. They are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in Gloucestershire on a permanent basis.

Experience within the Process and Chemical industries are favoured.

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

At least 5 (Ideally 10+) years of experience in a similar Engineering position in a manufacturing environment Qualified with a Degree / Masters / PhD or similar in Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related relevant subject Passionate about Renewable Energy and making a difference Strong technical skills with experience of FMEA, DFMA and HAZOP Excellent analytical skills, with knowledge of hand calculations, FEA, ANSYS, stress analysis, particle fluid simulation etc. Able to apply GD&T Strong experience using 3D CAD software such as Inventor, SolidWorks, Creo etc. Good theoretical mechanical engineering knowledge of core principles and tight tolerances Excellent communication skills both verbal and written Proficient using MS Office Excellent organisational skills and time management skills Have the ability to work well alone as well as part of a small multi-disciplinary team  The Seni...
