Key Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Lead the design of customer-specific and mission-critical projects.
• Manage and review the work of mechanical design team members.

• Support technical strategy and resolve design challenges proactively.
• Provide engineering input during installation, commissioning, and problem-solving.
• Ensure high-quality, timely, and budget-conscious project delivery.
• Develop detailed mechanical parts, assemblies, and enclosures.
• Apply knowledge of motion systems, pneumatic components, bearings, and metal fabrication processes.

Requirements of the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer:

• Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks 3D CAD software and knowledge of SolidWorks PDM Vaults.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, motion types, pneumatic systems, and metal fabrication.
• Ability to assess design feasibility and resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Capable of producing operation and maintenance manuals.
