OverviewWhite Label is exclusively representing an engineering and manufacturing business in Hyde that require a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. As the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from concept through to delivery. This is a hands-on role where you’ll work closely with production, projects, and senior management to ensure designs are efficient, safe, and cost-effective.Base pay rangeThis range is provided by White Label Recruitment. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.Salary: £50,000 - £55,000, 25 days holiday + stats and workplace pension. Working hours are Monday – Friday 08:00 – 16:30 with flexibility around start and finish times.Responsibilities of the Senior Mechanical Design EngineerLead the design and development of bespoke equipment, fixtures, and tooling.Produce 3D CAD models, detailed drawings, and manufacturing specifications.Carry out design calculations, stress analysis, and materials selection where required.Collaborate with production teams to ensure designs are practical and effective.Drive continuous improvement through engineering innovation.Mentor junior engineers and support technical development across the team.Liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure design solutions meet requirements.Experience / Qualifications5 years + experience in a mechanical design engineering roleProficient in 3D CAD (Ideally Solidworks)Knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes (fabrication, machining, welding).Experience leading projects from concept to delivery #J-18808-Ljbffr
