Senior Mechanical Building Services EngineerLocation: Glasgow, GB, G2 1BTOnsite or Hybrid: OnSiteRole Type: Full time / PermanentAbout the RoleAt Cavendish Nuclear we're working to create a safe and secure world, together, and if you join us, you can play your part as a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer at our Glasgow site.As a Senior Mechanical Building Services Engineer, you'll lead the design and delivery of mechanical building services systems, such as HVAC, water, drainage, and fire protection–for nuclear facilities. You'll oversee technical documentation, guide CAD modelling, ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, mentor junior engineers, and engage with stakeholders to deliver integrated and innovative solutions. This opportunity involves working as part of a JV team on the Nuclear Technical Support Provider (NTSP) framework.Key AccountabilitiesLead the design of mechanical building services systems, ensuring alignment with nuclear safety cases, operational requirements, and environmental control needs.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical systems with electrical, structural, and safety engineering disciplines.Ensure all engineering activities comply with relevant standards and codes (e.g. CIBSE, BS EN, ASHRAE) and nuclear–specific procedures.Oversee the production and review of technical deliverables, including schematics, calculations, equipment schedules, and CAD/Revit models.Support stakeholder engagement and project planning, resolving technical challenges and maintaining design integrity throughout the project lifecycle.Essential ExperienceProven ability to work collaboratively within multi–disciplinary teams to deliver engineering solutions across a variety of project types.Demonstrated experience in managing a diverse range of engineering tasks, from straightforward to highly complex challenges.Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interface with colleagues across disciplines, clients, and stakeholders.BenefitsMatched contribution pension scheme, with life assuranceAccess to a Digital GP, annual health check, and nutritional consultations through Aviva DigiCare+Employee share schemeEmployee shopping savings portalPayment of Professional FeesReservists in the armed forces receive 10–days special paid leaveHoliday Trading to buy or sell additional leave (window opens February–March annually)Be Kind Day: one paid leave day per year for volunteeringWe are a disability confident committed employer.
