JOB- Senior Mechanical Engineer (Building Services)

LOCATION- Colchester

TERM- Permanent

SALARY- £50,000 to £65,000 per annum (plus benefits)

Premier Engineering is currently working with a well-established Building Services consultancy who are looking to expand their team with a Senior Mechanical Engineer. This role offers the opportunity to lead high-profile projects across a variety of sectors including commercial, healthcare, residential, and education.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent) Minimum of 5 years' experience in a building services consultancy environment Strong knowledge of mechanical building services design including HVAC, ventilation, and heating systems Proficient in Revit, with a good understanding of BIM workflows Excellent communication and leadership skills Familiarity with industry standards such as CIBSE, BSRIA, and building regulations Chartered status or working towards chartership (CEng) is advantageous

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will involve:

Leading the mechanical design on a range of building services projects Producing detailed design calculations and specifications Coordinating with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants Managing and mentoring junior engineers and CAD/Revit technicians Attending project and client meetings Ensuring project delivery is to a high standard and meets deadlines
