FLI Water is a leading provider of water and wastewater treatment technologies, delivering projects across the UK ranging from £100K to £6M. As we continue to grow, we’re seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our expert team and help shape the future of clean water infrastructure.
About the Role: You’ll play a key role in developing and delivering mechanical engineering solutions from concept through to completion. Working closely with our Technical Director and Lead Design Manager, you’ll lead multidisciplinary teams, produce technical documentation, and support the growth of our mechanical design function.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce technical reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications
* Develop efficient mechanical design layouts and ensure HSE compliance
* Support CAD Designers and oversee fabrication/assembly drawings
* Conduct equipment selection and technical assessments
* Liaise with internal teams and clients to ensure project success
* Mentor junior engineers and contribute to process improvement
* Support business development and client engagement
What We’re Looking For:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering + Chartered Engineer status
* 5–10+ years’ experience in water/wastewater sectors
* Strong technical, commercial, and leadership skills
* Knowledge of Eurocodes and mechanical design standards
* UK resident with full UK driving licence
