We’re looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to support the growth of a busy engineering business - initially taking the lead on a project to deliver, install, and commission large-scale metal processing machinery.
You’ll be joining an established company that has more than doubled its turnover in the past three years, at an exciting stage of expansion. With projects in their early phases, there’s plenty of scope to make an impact. As an Engineering Manager, you’ll take ownership of a project involving the installation, commissioning, and overall operation of large-scale metal processing machinery — a key development for the business.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll lead from the front, rolling up your sleeves and getting involved at every stage. From the initial machine delivery and coordinating site resources, through setup, commissioning, and staff training, you’ll ensure everything runs efficiently and effectively.
Once operational, you’ll continue to oversee the machinery’s performance — managing maintenance, driving efficiency improvements, and supporting the wider engineering environment.
What you’ll need:
Experience in an engineering operations or engineering project management role A hands on approach and not afraid to get your hands dirty Practical mechanical / fitting experience An engineering qualification or time served experience  What you’ll get:
A basic salary circa £65,000 + Company Bonus 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays Monday to Friday working week 5% company contributed pension Opportunities for professional development and growth
