Job Overview:
We are looking for an experiencd Senior Mechanical Engineers to join our clients expanding team for a major project in Amsterdam. The successful candidates will support the mechanical delivery aspects of the project, working closely with the wider project team to ensure successful execution.

Tasks

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive mechanical design reviews, identifying gaps, deviations, or contradictions in specifications and IFC drawings
Generate detailed RFI’s to resolve design ambiguities or potential issues
Validate equipment sizing (e.g., ductwork, pipework), providing recommendations when necessary
Oversee the submittal approvals process, track procurement and delivery of mechanical equipment, and complete verification once delivered
Perform system walk-downs to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and management systems
Coordinate mechanical services with other disciplines and the project BIM team
Provide technical advice and guidance to sub-contracted staff throughout the project
Ensure sub-contractor compliance with site and project requirements, including health & safety standards
Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction activities
Work with the project team to sequence the installation of mechanical systems efficiently and safely
Apply troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve problems
Manage document control to keep all logs and records up to date

Requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

Relevant qualifications (e.g., Degree in Mechanical Engineering). Trade qualifications are an advantage
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role within the mechanical and electrical contracting sector
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems in data center environments
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with contractors on-site
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
