OverviewSenior Engineer (Mechanical Bias) – Packaging Manufacturing. Kaizen Global Group Ltd are recruiting on behalf of a leading packaging manufacturing company for a Permanent Senior Engineer (Mechanical bias) position based in the North West region. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineering professional with a strong mechanical background to join a dynamic and fast-paced production environment. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing engineering operations, ensuring machinery and site services operate smoothly and efficiently.ResponsibilitiesInstall, repair and maintain machinery and equipment as appropriateOrganise building/engineering contractors as required for installation or repair purposes and monitor their performance against agreed specification, timescale and costOversee and support the engineering team, including Shift Engineers, Site Services Engineer, and Engineering ApprenticesLead engineering projects, ensuring timely delivery within complex conditions and strict timescalesMaintain and optimise machinery performance, with a focus on mechanical systemsEnsure adherence to safety standards and best practices across the engineering departmentProvide technical guidance and support for electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systemsCreate a PPM scheduleEssential RequirementsMinimum of 5 years' experience working on engineering tools and systemsStrong electrical, mechanical expertiseExperience working under complex conditions and tight deadlinesProven background in a fast production environmentPrevious experience of a Senior Engineering positionProject team leader experienceAdditional InformationPrimarily mechanical focusMust be flexible to work on double day shifts. Week 1: Mon-Thurs 0600am-13.25pm Fri 0600am-1300pm / Week 2: Mon-Thurs 13.20pm-21.00pm Fri 12.55pm-18.55pmSalary is DOE (Depending on Experience)This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to apply their skills in a challenging environment with room for growth.
