Job Title: Senior Network Engineer

Location: Remote (UK-Based) with Travel to Client Sites as Required

Salary: £60,000 – £78,000 + Benefits

The Opportunity

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer with deep experience in enterprise and data centre networking, including Software-Defined Networking (SDN). This is a hands-on technical role with full project lifecycle ownership — from presales consultancy and design through to implementation, migration, and knowledge transfer.

The successful candidate will be a confident self-starter, capable of working autonomously and engaging effectively with clients and stakeholders. This role suits someone looking to apply their expertise across a range of high-impact, enterprise-scale networking projects.

Key Responsibilities

Lead technical presales discussions, audits, and discovery workshops.

*

Produce high- and low-level network designs for complex environments.

*

Deliver full project implementations including configuration, testing, and cutovers.

*

Perform migrations, acceptance testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer.

*

Act as a technical SME across a range of campus, WAN, and DC solutions.

Essential Skills & Experience

*

Hands-on experience one or more of the following Cisco technologies:

*

Cisco ACI

*

Viptela/Catalyst SD-WAN,

*

Cisco SDA

*

Cisco Catalyst Centre (DNA Centre) for automation and assurance.

*

Cisco ISE, 802.1x, TrustSec, and zero-trust architectures.

*

Cisco Nexus 7000/9000, including EVPN VXLAN.

*

Solid grasp of core protocols such as BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VXLAN, EVPN, and LISP.

*

Full project lifecycle experience across:

Audit and discovery

*

HLD/LLD production

*

Implementation and testing

*

Documentation and stakeholder handover

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience with:

Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)

*

Cisco ASA, Firepower, FMC

*

Cisco Secure Access/SASE, DUO

*

Cisco UCS, Intersight, Nutanix

*

Arista (CloudVision, AVD, EVPN VXLAN)

*

Juniper MIST (wired/wireless, assurance)

*

Cloud networking in AWS/Azure

*

Relevant certifications ( but not mandatory):

CCIE/CCNP (Enterprise, DC, Security)
