Overview

Senior Network Operations Engineer role at Graphics Unlimited (Vic) Pty Ltd. This position is part of DWP Digital collaboration, focusing on design of Infrastructure services in line with Architecture and Engineering principles. This role supports a broad set of environments including Wi-Fi, On-Prem, and Cloud, and involves leadership responsibilities for a team of engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational support and perform planned BAU work such as upgrades and failover exercises.
  • Guide a team of engineers, support complex infrastructure, and drive innovation across Wi-Fi, On-Prem, and Cloud environments.
  • Utilize network tooling (e.g., Wireshark, NetScout, BMC Entuity) and work with Cloud and On-Prem infrastructure, NGFWs, load balancers, and PKI.
  • Engage with network automation tooling and related technologies; familiarity with Aruba Central, ClearPass, Arista CloudVision, Terraform, Ansible, and Python is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Influential with strong leadership and management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities; able to think critically, creatively, and independently to solve issues.
  • Excellent planning and implementation methodology.
  • Extensive experience and proven track record with ITSM processes.
  • Detailed working knowledge of network infrastructure in Wifi, DC On-Prem, Cloud, Next Generation Firewall, load-balancing, and PKI technologies.
  • Significant experience with network monitoring and analysis tooling.

Details, Wages & Perks

  • Location: Blackpool, Leeds, Manchester, or Newcastle (hybrid model: some days in a hub, some at home).
  • Pay: up to £68,517 per year.
  • Pension: employer contributions of 28.97% (approx. £16,000/year).
  • Holidays: 26 days rising to 31 days, with up to 3 extra flex days per month plus public holidays.
