With over 50 years of expertise, this organisation delivers smart, secure, and sustainable solutions across the UK, Europe, and North America.\n\nAs a Senior Nuclear Engineer, you'll lead control system design and integration, mentor a growing team, and shape technical direction on high-impactprojects.\n\nBenefits:\n\nSalary up to £75,000 per annum (negotiable depending on experience)\n25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays, with the option to buy/sell up to 5 days\nFlexible start/finish times, including Flexi-Fridays\nCompetitive Employee Referral Award Scheme\nLife Assurance & Pension scheme\nPayment of professional membership fees\nAccess to Healthy Extras: Employee Assistance Programme, GP access, confidential advice\nEnhanced family-friendly policies\nKey Responsibilities\n\nAs a Senior Nuclear Engineer, you will:\n\nPromote and uphold nuclear safety behaviours across all projects.\nLead and approve system designs, architectures, and specifications in line with client requirements.\nManage system integration to ensure compatibility, performance, and compliance.\nOversee system testing, validation, and commissioning activities, including on client sites.\nDeliver high-quality technical documentation (requirements, design specifications, test plans, operator manuals, etc.).\nTranslate client requirements into functional and non-functional specifications, ensuring compliance with standards.\nAct as a technical lead in discussions, identifying and resolving engineering challenges.\nChampion continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across projects.\nMentor and coach team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.\nContribute to bid processes, providing technical sign-off and accurate estimates.\nMaintain strong client relationships through technical leadership in meetings and reviews.\nCollaborate with software, hardware, workshop, and project management teams to ensure successful project outcomes.\nReport progress, successes, risks, and recovery plans to stakeholders.\nCandidate Requirements\n\nExperience & Knowledge\n\nAt least 5 years' experience in systems engineering, preferably in highly regulated industries.\nProficiency in relevant software packages (e.g., SCADA, PLC, HMI systems).\nStrong background in systems engineering principles and methodologies.\nHands-on experience with system integration tools and processes.\nFamiliarity with quality management systems, standards, and procedures.\nExposure to software development and deployment in industrial environments.\nExperience working on client sites.\nSkills & Abilities\n\nStrong communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).\nAbility to provide technical input into bid processes, including accurate time estimation.\nDemonstrated leadership qualities with the ability to mentor, guide, and inspire colleagues.\nProblem-solving mindset with a focus on delivering safe, compliant, and effective solutions.\nEC&I Partners are proud to be an equal opportunities employer.
