Senior OpenShift Engineer VMware & Storage Integration Job Title: OpenShift Architect - VMware & Storage Integration Location: Sheffield (Hybrid - 3 days/week onsite) Duration: 6 months + Extension THIS PROJECT IS INSIDE IR35 Responsibilities: Design and implement OpenShift platforms integrated with VMware and enterprise storage solutions
Ensure compatibility and performance between OpenShift, VMware tools (vSphere, vCenter, NSX), and storage (eg FlashArray/FlashBlade)
Architect scalable, secure OpenShift environments that support CI/CD and DevOps workflows
Lead migrations to OpenShift and define strategies for secure, resilient deployments
Collaborate with DevOps, Development, and Operations teams to ensure alignment with business needs
Document architecture decisions, configurations, and migration playbooks
Provide technical guidance and mentorship across teams
Required Skills (Mandatory): Strong background designing and implementing OpenShift platforms
Strong experience in Openshift Kubernetes and containerisation expertise
