What you’ll be\ndoing:
\n
Reviewing/assessing the\ndeveloping SSN-AUKUS Submarine design to ensure it is safe,\noperable, and habitable by its crew. This will be achieved through\nattendance at design reviews, review of the 3D CAD model, review of\ndesign documentation, participation in experimental design and user\ntrials, and provision of design guidance and sharing of SQEP\nknowledge \n
Providing specialist support\nto safety activities e.g., HAZID, HAZOPS, ALARP Optioneering\nworkshops \n
Offering specialist support\nto Operating Documentation Production Authority in support of OPDOC\nderivation and verification \n
Your skills and\nexperiences:
\n
Experienced in\nthe following discipline (Astute ): CAT B/C Ships Platform\nSystems operator/maintainer – Relevant Qualifications to skills\nrequired \n
Experience and\nknowledge across any of the following disciplines: Platform\nsystems, Electrical & Distribution and/or Whole Boat\nActivities \n
A general\nunderstanding of the manufacturing, assembly, commissioning and\ntesting processes used within the\nbusiness \n
Basic\nunderstanding of the challenges posed by the environment that the\nproduct will be exposed to \n
Knowledge of\nthe capabilities and the most appropriate uses of specialised\nanalysis tools \n
Knowledge or at\nleast recognition of relevant engineering standards (including\nsafety and environmental\nregulations) \n

The Operability\nteam:
\n
You will work\nalongside a team of like-minded dedicated ex-submariners utilising\nwhole boat experience from operating the UK SSN & SSBN fleet,\nincluding Damage Control and Submarine Escape and Rescue on the\ncurrent SSN-AUKUS platform design. We offer relocation support\npackages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting\neligibility criteria.
