The Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Operations Manager to join a leading events and catering business. This role offers the chance to take ownership of high-profile events across London's most prestigious venues, delivering exceptional client experiences from start to finish.
The Role As Senior Operations Manager, you'll report into the Operations Director and play a key part in driving the success of bespoke events. This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same – perfect for someone passionate about food, events, and creating memorable experiences.
Key Responsibilities Lead on the planning and delivery of a wide range of events, from gala dinners and canapé receptions to conferences and large-scale celebrations. Ensure seamless operational delivery, exceeding client expectations every time. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, venues, and suppliers. Manage event budgets, working closely with sales teams to ensure profitability. Conduct site visits and oversee all operational aspects on the day. Collaborate with chefs and kitchen teams on logistics. Motivate, support, and lead onsite teams to deliver outstanding service. Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements.
About You We're seeking someone with: 3–4 years' proven experience in catering, hospitality, venues, or agency environments. A background in running large, complex events within London venues. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong budget management and commercial awareness. Excellent negotiation skills and supplier management experience. The ability to thrive under pressure and solve problems quickly. Strong communication skills (fluent written and spoken English). Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
