An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior / Principal Power Supply Design Engineer to join a leading technology company in the South of the UK. You will be responsible for the design and development of advanced DC/DC and AC/DC power conversion solutions for a range of high-performance applications.
As a Senior / Principal Power Supply Design Engineer , you will take technical ownership of complex projects from concept through to production, contributing to architecture definition, detailed design, verification, and support.
Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of isolated and non-isolated DC/DC and AC/DC power supplies, including high-efficiency switch-mode converters. Define power architectures and topologies (e.g., flyback, forward, LLC, full bridge, synchronous buck/boost). Select key components including magnetics, semiconductors (Si, SiC, GaN), and control ICs. Perform hands-on prototyping, simulation, and bench evaluation to validate designs against performance, safety, and compliance requirements.
