OverviewSenior Planning Engineer - Construction role at Turner & Townsend.ResponsibilitiesWork as part of the project controls team on high profile construction projects, providing performance reporting and analysis support. May be part of a large team or the key day to day contact point with the client.Develop work breakdown structures and robust performance baselines with cost and planning engineers.Establish progress and cost monitoring methods, produce project control reports, and provide performance analysis and recommendations for clients.ExperiencePrevious experience in a project controls environment on a major project or programme within the infrastructure sector is beneficial (ideally airports, rail, utilities or defence).Demonstrate understanding/experience of earned value, progress updating, cost control, change control, baseline management, reporting, and a Primavera P6 environment.QualificationsNumerate and computer literate; highly competent in Microsoft Excel, planning software such as Primavera, and reporting databases.Familiar with financial/procurement systems (e.g., Oracle and SAP) and web-based project control tools.Typically a qualified graduate in a relevant discipline with some relevant work experience or previous proven experience in a project control environment.Senior Project Controls Engineers should be proactive, self-starters with well developed communications and analytical skills.Owing to the specialist and sensitive nature of the work, candidates will ideally hold security clearance or be able to obtain and maintain security clearance.Additional InformationTurner & Townsend is an equal opportunity employer.
