Planning Engineer / Senior Planning Engineer

Seeking experienced Senior Planners with demonstrable expertise in Primavera P6 or MSP (Microsoft Project), ideally within complex, regulated environments such as Defence, Aerospace, Nuclear or Government programmes.

Key Skills & Experience:

• Planning Tools: Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project, with a strong understanding of scheduling logic, dependencies, and critical path analysis.
• Earned Value Management (EVM): Able to apply EVM principles to track project performance, forecast outcomes, and support cost/schedule integration.
• Schedule Risk Analysis (SRA): Experience conducting SRAs using tools such as Pertmaster or Safran to assess schedule confidence and identify risk mitigation strategies.
• Baseline Management: Skilled in establishing, maintaining, and controlling project baselines, ensuring alignment with contractual and delivery milestones.
• Work Breakdown Structures (WBS): Capable of developing and managing WBS in line with project scope, deliverables, and reporting requirements.
• Reporting: Comfortable producing and presenting monthly reports, including schedule performance, variance analysis, and recovery plans, to senior stakeholders and PMO teams.

• Desirable:

  • Experience in Defence, Nuclear, or Government programmes with security clearance (or eligibility).
  • Familiarity with integrated project controls environments.
  • Exposure to Statement of Work (SoW) delivery models and collaborative programme frameworks
