We’re growing our Platform Engineering capability to deliver cutting-edge solutions that make a real difference. You’ll be part of a collaborative consulting-style environment, working alongside specialists and generalists, designing and building systems that keep the country safe. What you’ll be doing Designing and delivering production-grade and proof-of-concept systems for high-impact projects Building modern, secure, and scalable solutions using the latest tooling and engineering practices Embedding quality through automated testing, CI/CD pipelines and code analysis tools Working in agile, multidisciplinary teams to solve complex client challenges Supporting a culture of innovation and knowledge-sharing, with opportunities to mentor and get involved in wider tech and cyber skills initiatives Experience required Strong background in software engineering with one or more languages (Java, JavaScript, .Net, Python) Hands-on experience with version control (Git, Mercurial, etc.) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, Bitbucket) Proven track record delivering in agile environments (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) Understanding of software design patterns and engineering best practices Current SC clearance is a bonus – otherwise, you must be eligible Nice to have (or we’ll help you get there): Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) Containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes) Database systems (SQL, NoSQL, Graph) Configuration & deployment tools (Ansible) Exposure to Machine Learning frameworks (TensorFlow, AWS/Azure ML) The Package Up to £72,000 base salary Bonus scheme Hybrid working – London or Manchester hub Private healthcare & pension Career development pathways in a consulting-style environment Opportunities to contribute to community tech initiatives To hear more about the role, get in touch with me directly.
