- Collaborate with scientists and stakeholders to translate research needs into technical solutions.
- Maintain and optimize compute environments for performance and cost-efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with data protection standards such as HIPAA and GDPR.

- Hands-on expertise with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform).
- Proficiency in Go, Python, and Bash; experience with RESTful APIs and containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with monitoring tools, secrets management, and database technologies (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, BigQuery).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset.
Some optional "+nice to have+" items include security & compliance knowledge, HPC experience, mentoring experience, contributions to open-source projects, biotech or bioinformatics background, familiarity with platforms like Benchling/BaseSpace/Seqera, and workflow orchestration with Nextflow.
