Overview

Senior / Principal Electrical Engineer (Data Centre) position in London within the Building Services team. Mission Critical / Data Centre sector experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Guide the technical design of projects as subject matter expert.
• Delegate tasks to engineers and designers; follow quality management processes.
• Maintain strong client relations; act as supervisor and resource to the technical design team; support staff education and development.
• Conceptualize, execute, and ensure quality throughout the design process to meet clients’ needs and expectations.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar.
• Chartered with a relevant institution (IET/CIBSE) or working towards Chartered status.
• Proven track record in an M&E team, ideally within a design engineering consultancy, with Data Centre / Mission Critical sector experience.
• Ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, including clients and multi-disciplinary teams.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical engineering services design, systems and equipment, calculations, and drawing production; experience with Revit and IES.
• Understanding of the wider built environment, carbon emissions reduction, sustainability, and familiarity with technical standards, planning policies, British Standards, and Building Regulations.
