The role conceptualizes, executes, and ensures quality throughout the design process to meet our clients’ needs and expectations.
Responsibilities
- Guide the technical design of projects as subject matter expert.
- Delegate tasks to engineers and designers; follow quality management processes.
- Maintain strong client relations; act as supervisor and resource to the technical design team.
- Support and assist staff education and development.
- Contribute to the design and execution of projects from concept through to delivery.
Qualifications
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or similar.
- Chartered with a relevant institution (IET/CIBSE) or working towards Chartership.
- Proven track record in an M&E team, ideally gained within a design engineering consultancy, specifically in the Data Centre / Mission Critical sector.
- Ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, working closely with clients and other professional staff across multi-disciplinary groups.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical services design, systems and equipment design, calculations, and drawing production; proficiency with design tools such as Revit and IES.
- Understanding of the wider built environment, legislative environment including carbon emissions reduction and sustainability; familiarity with Technical Standards, planning policies, and relevant British Standards and Building Regulations.
