Overview

Senior / Principal FPGA Engineer - Inside IR35, Edinburgh (Hybrid - 3 days on-site), £90 per hour. Must have or be eligible for SC Clearance.

Responsibilities

• FPGA design & development in VHDL / Verilog
• Verification using VHDL / SystemVerilog
• Debugging & supporting hardware/system integration
• Documentation, reporting & version control

Essential Skills

• 5+ years FPGA development (VHDL/Verilog)
• Mentor Graphics tools (HDL Designer, ModelSim/Questa, Precision)
• Xilinx / Intel / Microsemi flows (ISE, Vivado, Quartus)
• FPGA constraints, verification & requirements management
• High-Speed Serial protocols, Linux & scripting
• Strong communication & reporting skills

Desirable

• DO-254 / safety-critical FPGA experience
• SystemVerilog / UVM verification
• Aerospace/Defence industry background
• ARM/embedded cores & Agile methodologies

Contract Details

• Inside IR35 - £90 p/h
• Hybrid - 3 days per week on-site in Edinburgh
• Must have or be eligible for SC Clearance
