Overview


The Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer role at Tetra Tech invites a qualified and enthusiastic Building Services engineer to support and develop the project delivery capabilities of the Manchester-based team, with flexible location options including Manchester, Leeds, Leicester or Edinburgh. You will lead and deliver multiple medium‑complexity projects, provide client advice, manage client relationships, and may have line management responsibility. This role requires experience across sectors including life sciences, defence, education, commercial, residential, renewable energy, industrial, retail, healthcare and leisure in both public and private domains. You will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical design in project delivery, including calculations, drawings, specifications and reports, site surveys, construction-stage duties, client liaison, and collaboration with design/construction teams. Experience with Autodesk Revit MEP is beneficial; if required, training in Revit and related systems will be provided.
