Senior Process Engineer - 12 month fixed-term contractLocation: Haleon Weybridge, United KingdomResponsibilitiesSenior Process Engineer within the OH Platform team (Haleon QSC)The team supports the development, optimization and technical life cycle management of leading global Power Brands in the Oral Health categoryWork within the Supply Chain OH Technical group with exposure to solid, semi-solid and liquid dose forms; collaborate with marketers, research scientists/engineers in new product development, and lead manufacturing sites. Potential travel to European and Global sitesLead complex process development, scale up and Technical Transfers to support future manufacturing strategy and complex maintenance projects; liaise with R&D and QSC.Act as technical lead for complex RM changes within de-risking or CoGs reduction programmes and provide manufacturing site support for process improvement initiativesEstablish as the first point of contact and expert for OH technical for product robustness reviews to ensure right first time commercialisation at sitesSupport Global Product Owners (GPOs) for continuous improvement projects, BARs and Risk assessments as requiredCollaborate with scientists, Global Product Owners and Technical Leads within the wider team to develop junior engineersJob PurposeSupport the OH Technical team for Oral Health Power BrandsLead technical change controls, tech transfers or process continuous improvements; engage in Innovation and Maintenance strategies for OH brands with Quality, R&D and manufacturing site teamsPossibly support de-risking, scale up, cost saving and strategic growth projects; participate in global complex projects, partnering with Procurement, external vendors and CMOs, Haleon manufacturing sites, and cross-functional teamsBasic QualificationsBSc/BEng or equivalent in Pharmaceutical Science/Process or Manufacturing Engineering/Chemical Engineering or related industrial experienceKnowledge/experience with semi-solids and liquid formulationsKnowledge of statistical principles used in process capability assessmentsKnowledge/experience of manufacturing processes and equipment for semi-solid and liquid formulationsKnowledge of scientific methods, DoE, QbD and DtVTechnical writing skills for scientific documents; strong problem solving and critical thinkingKnowledgeable in cGMPs and regulatory requirementsGood written and verbal communication skillsPreferred qualificationsExperience in a Technical role at lead manufacturing site/global/regional teamExperience with techniques and tools for process investigations and Technical Risk AssessmentKnowledge of process validation principlesKnowledgeable in PLMStatistical knowledge and use of StatisticaProficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPointVeeva experience is desirableDiversity, Equity and InclusionAt Haleon we embrace our diverse workforce by creating an inclusive environment that celebrates diverse perspectives and promotes fair and equitable outcomesWe strive to create a climate where diversity is celebrated, differences are respected, and people can thriveWe support an agile working culture for all roles and encourage discussion with the hiring team about flexibilityHaleon is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
